Big Wheel Races
Every Easter SF puts on the Bring Your Own Big Wheel Races. In years past they were held at the famous Lombard zigzag street, but for the past few years they have done it on Vermont on Potrero Hill. There is nothing boring about this event, whether you’re racing or just laughing hysterically on the sidewalk taking photos.
Mission Creek
Mission Creek, located just under the 280 and upstream from McCovey Cove, is home to about 50 people. I sometimes ride my bike through the area because it fascinates me that the city has allowed these homes to stay while new condos continue to pop-up in the area. Residents have been inhabiting the area on houseboats since the 60s, and have just resigned a lease that will permit them to stay until at least 2055. Continue Reading →
