The day after Christmas I went on a little hike with my Dad. My Dad moved up to Nevada City about 9 years ago, and wanted to be near the ocean. We looked at the forecast and it looked like the rain would hold off for the remainder of the day so we drove out to Krohnkite Beach.

It took us about 45 minutes to climb from the beach up to Hill 88. Since the weather was forecasted, we had the hike to ourselves. It was a treat to have the place for ourselves. From the top you could look north into Tennessee Valley.
At the top are decommissioned missile sites that are run down. This place would be a great location for a zombie movie.
After walking around the base, my dad decided it was time to head down and go grab some food. His feet were screaming. He said it was worth it. I think so too..
