I went to Mendocino with my family the other weekend for my dad’s birthday. We stayed in a house right on a cliff overlooking the water, with our own private cove.

The Mendocino coast is stunning. I grew up at beaches in Southern California that were really accessible. Part of what makes this particular coastline so beautiful is how seemingly untouched it is by humans. With it’s frigid, rough waters and it’s jagged sea stacks and bluffs, you know there are parts that nobody has even set foot on. If you’ve been to beaches in Southern California, you know what I mean.

We drove up to Fort Bragg for a couple hours too. Pictured is my dad on the bridge above the logging rivermouth.
