Yim and I went out to the park on Sunday afternoon to catch the big race. Sadly, I’ve only been to a few cross races in my life. This shit was wild! Beer flying, cow bells banging, a huge mud bath, even a unicyclist hurling himself around the whole course and a tandem bike duo! And all of this with a few inches of mud throughout the entire course. There was a pretty wide array of racers, ranging from super serious to one guy who ended up walking the last 5 laps or so telling everyone he was too drunk for this.

I almost didn’t recognize Rainier for a second. I wish he wore a box costume to the race, like he does for Halloween. For the past three years he has been a box-shaped costume. One year he was just a box, year after that he was a rubik’s cube, this year he was a die (single dice). Anyways, Rainier, you looked good out there.
